Hadith on Wudu: Allah praises one who cures his soul with ablution

‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A man from my nation arises in the night to treat himself with purification. There are knots over him. If he washes his hands, a knot is unraveled. If he washes his face, a knot is unraveled. If he wipes his head, a knot is unraveled. If he washes his feet, a knot is unraveled. Allah Almighty will say to those in the Unseen: Behold this servant of mine, treating his soul and asking from me. Whatever this servant of mine asks me, he will have it.”
