Hadith on Prayer: The believer is in conversation with Allah in prayer

Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the believer in prayer is in a private conversation with his Lord. Let him not spit in front of him, nor to his right side, but rather to his left side or beneath his feet.”

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّمَا يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ فَلَا يَبْزُقَنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلَكِنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ
