Hadith on Meals: No need to investigate the food of a Muslim host

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you enters the home of his brother Muslim and he serves him food, then let him eat his food and not ask him about it. If he serves him one of his drinks, then let him drink from it and not ask about it.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

Al-Qari said, “He does not ask, meaning, from where this food came from in order to investigate whether it is lawful or unlawful.”
