Hadith on Prayer: When the Prophet forgot ablution for prayer

October 22, 2017

Abu Huraira reported: The prayer had been prepared and the rows straightened, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us. When he stood in his place of prayer, he remembered that he was in a state of ritual impurity (junub). The Prophet said to us, “Stay in your place.” Then, he went back inside to perform a ritual bath (ghusl) and then he came out to us with his hair dripping wet. The Prophet exalted Allah and we prayed with him.
