Hadith on Reckoning: Whoever is fully taken to account will perish

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever is taken to account on the Day of Resurrection will be punished.” I said, “Has not Allah Almighty said: He will soon have an easy reckoning?” (84:8) The Prophet said, “That is not the reckoning, for it is only the presentation of deeds. Whoever is fully taken to account will be punished.”

In another narration, the Prophet said, “O Allah, grant us an easy reckoning.”
