Hudhaifa on Love: If you love people as yourself, you will get blessings from the heavens

Musa ibn Al-Alā reported: Hudhaifa ibn Qatadah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “O Musa, if you have three qualities, then no good will descend from the heavens but that you will have a share of it: that your deeds be for the sake of Allah, that you love for people what you love for yourself, and that you are careful with food as much as you can.”

Al-Qasimi said, “Some of the commentators said that it is an obligation upon humanity to love for his brother what he loves for himself, and to love for the offspring of others among the believers what he would love for his own offspring.”
