Mu’adh on Roads: Removing harm from road leads to Paradise

Muhammad ibn Yahya reported: A man went out with Mu’adh ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him, and Mu’adh would not see anything harmful in the road but that he would move it to the side. When the man saw that, he would not pass by anything but that he would also move it to the side. Mu’adh said, “What made you do that?” The man said, “I saw you doing it.” Mu’adh said, “You are right and have done well. Verily, whoever removes harmful things from the road of the Muslims will have a good deed recorded for him, and whoever has a good deed recorded for him will enter Paradise.”
