Sufyan on Dua: What he dislikes is good if he prays about it

Ibn Abi Dunya reported: Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “What a servant dislikes may be better for him than what he likes. What he dislikes inspires him to supplicate to Allah, and what he likes distracts him from it.”
