Al-Bukhari on Taharah: Reciting the Quran with major impurity

Al-Bukhari reported: Ibrahim al-Nakha’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said there is no harm if a woman recites a verse from the Quran while menstruating. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, did not see any harm in reciting the Quran for one with major impurity. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would remember Allah at all times.
