Hadith on Authority: Be patient with what you hate from your rulers

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever hates anything from his ruler, let him be patient over it. Verily, none among people rebel against the authorities as much as a handspan and die but that he will have died upon ignorance.”

In another narration, the Prophet said, “Whoever secedes from the community and dies will have died upon ignorance.

عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَرِهَ مِنْ أَمِيرِهِ شَيْئًا فَلْيَصْبِرْ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ النَّاسِ خَرَجَ مِنْ السُّلْطَانِ شِبْرًا فَمَاتَ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

وفي رواية أخرى قال مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ شِبْرًا فَمَاتَ إِلَّا مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّة
