Hadith on Rest: Not sitting in undignified manner

Al-Sharid ibn Suwayd reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by me while I was sitting with my left hand behind my back and leaning upon it. The Prophet said, “Do you sit like one with whom Allah is angry?”

عَنْ الشَّرِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ هَكَذَا وَقَدْ وَضَعْتُ يَدِيَ الْيُسْرَى خَلْفَ ظَهْرِي وَاتَّكَأْتُ عَلَى أَلْيَةِ يَدِي فَقَالَ أَتَقْعُدُ قِعْدَةَ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ
