Hadith on Dua: Do not supplicate so loudly, Allah is Hearing

Abu Musa reported: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during a journey when the people began to exalt Allah loudly. The Prophet said, “O people, be gentle with yourselves. You are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent; rather, you are calling upon the Hearing, the Seeing.” I was behind the Prophet and I said to myself, “There is no power or might but with Allah.” The Prophet said, “O Abdullah ibn Qays, say: There is no power or might but with Allah. Verily, it is a treasure among the treasures of Paradise.”
