Hadith on Bayaa: The Prophet accepts their pledge of allegiance

‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported: I and a group gave the pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet said, “I take your pledge that you will not worship anything but Allah, you will not steal, you will not kill your children, you will not slander or spread falsehood, and you will not disobey me in good conduct. Thus, whoever among you fulfills this pledge, his reward is with Allah. Whoever commits any of these crimes and he is punished in this world, that will be an expiation for him and a purification. Whoever has his sins concealed by Allah, it is for Allah to decide whether to punish him or forgive him.”
