Hadith of Dua: The Prophet’s supplication for night prayer

Ibn Abbas reported: When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would pray at night, he would say, “O Allah, our Lord, praise be to you, You are the Sustainer of the heavens and earth. Praise be to You, You are the Lord of the heavens and earth and all in them. Praise be to You, the Light of the heavens and the earth and all in them. You are the truth and Your word is the truth. Your promise is the truth and Your meeting is the truth. Paradise is the truth, Hellfire is the truth, and the Hour is the truth. O Allah, I surrender to You, I have faith in You, and I rely upon You. I have argued for Your sake and judged for Your sake. Forgive me for what I have done and will do, what I keep secret and what I do in public. None know me better than You, there is no God but You.”
