Hadith on Salvation: Allah alone decides who goes to Paradise, Hellfire

Anas ibn Malik reported: On the day of Uhud, the front teeth of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, were broken and his head was wounded. The Prophet said, “How will a people succeed who have wounded their Prophet and broken his teeth, while he calls them to Allah?” Then, Allah Almighty revealed the verse, “You do not have any decision in the matter, whether He will forgive them or punish them. Verily, they are wrongdoers.” (3:128)
