Imam al-Nawawi records in his book Meadows of the Righteous:
باب الحث عَلَى سور وآيات مخصوصة
Chapter on encouragement to recite special chapters and verses of the Quran.

Abu Sa’id ibn al-Mu’alla reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ
Shall I not teach you the greatest chapter in the Quran before you leave the mosque?
The Prophet took hold of my hand and when he intended to leave, I said to him, “Did you not say that you would teach me the greatest chapter in the Quran?” The Prophet said:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ هِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُهُ
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds (1:1), which are the seven oft-repeated verses and the great Quran given to me.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ فَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي وَإِذَا قَالَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي وَإِذَا قَالَ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ قَالَ مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي وَقَالَ مَرَّةً فَوَّضَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي فَإِذَا قَالَ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ قَالَ هَذَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ فَإِذَا قَالَ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ قَالَ هَذَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ
Allah Almighty said: I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says, ‘All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds,’ Allah says, ‘My servant has praised Me.’ When he says, ‘The Gracious, the Merciful,’ Allah says, ‘My servant has exalted Me.’ When he says, ‘The Master of the Day of Judgment,’ Allah says, ‘My servant has glorified Me, and My servant has submitted to Me.’ When he says, ‘You alone we worship, You alone we ask for help,’ Allah says, ‘This is between Me and My servant, and My servant will have what he has asked for.’ When he says, ‘Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not those who earned wrath and went astray,’ Allah says, This is for My servant, and My servant will have what he has asked for.’

In another narration, the Prophet said:
مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ ثَلَاثًا غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ
A prayer performed by one who has not recited ‘the foundation of the Quran’ during it is deficient and incomplete.

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ
Is it difficult for one of you to recite a third of the Quran in a single night?
They said, “Which one of us can do that, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said:
اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الصَّمَدُ ثُلُثُ الْقُرْآنِ
The chapter, ‘Allah, the One, the Refuge’ (112:1) is worth one-third of the Quran.

Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, I love this chapter, ‘Say: He is Allah, the One,’” (112:1). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
حُبُّكَ إِيَّاهَا أَدْخَلَكَ الْجَنَّةَ
Your love for it will admit you into Paradise.

‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
أَلَمْ تَرَ آيَاتٍ أُنْزِلَتْ اللَّيْلَةَ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قَطُّ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
Have you not seen the verses Allah revealed to me in the night? No one has seen the likes of them, ‘Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the people,’ (114:1) and, ‘Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak.’ (113:1)

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ الْجَانِّ وَعَيْنِ الْإِنْسَانِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ الْمُعَوِّذَتَانِ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتَا أَخَذَ بِهِمَا وَتَرَكَ مَا سِوَاهُمَا
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek refuge from jinn and the evil eye of man, until ‘the two chapters of refuge’ were revealed, al-Falaq and al-Nas. After they were revealed, he held to them and left everything else.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
سُورَةٌ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ ثَلَاثُونَ آيَةً تَشْفَعُ لِصَاحِبِهَا حَتَّى يُغْفَرَ لَهُ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ
There is a chapter of the Quran with thirty verses, which will intercede for a man until he is forgiven. It is the chapter, ‘Blessed is He in whose Hand is the dominion.’ (67:1)

In another narration, the Prophet said:
سُورَةٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هِيَ إِلَّا ثَلَاثُونَ آيَةً خَاصَمَتْ عَنْ صَاحِبِهَا حَتَّى أَدْخَلَتْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَهِيَ سُورَةُ تَبَارَكَ
There is a chapter in the Quran, not but thirty verses, which will argue on behalf of its companion until he is admitted into Paradise. It is the chapter, ‘Blessed is He…’ (67:1)

Abu Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ
Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah in the night, it is enough for him.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
لَا تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ مَقَابِرَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْفِرُ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
Do not turn your houses into graveyards. Verily, Satan flees from the house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.

Ubayy ibn Ka’b reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَتَدْرِي أَيُّ آيَةٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَعَكَ أَعْظَمُ
O Abu Mundhir, do you know which verse in the Book of Allah with you is greatest?
He recited the verse:
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
Allah! There is no God worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. (2:255)
The Prophet struck him on the chest, saying:
وَاللَّهِ لِيَهْنِكَ الْعِلْمُ أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ
By Allah, Abu Mundhir, rejoice in this knowledge!

Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْف عُصِمَ مِنْ الدَّجَّالِ
Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surat al-Kahf will be immune to the False Messiah.

In another narration, the Prophet said:
مِنْ آخِرِ الْكَهْفِ
…from the last ten verses of Surat al-Kahf.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ أَضَاءَ لَهُ مِنَ النُّورِ مَا بَيْنَ الْجُمُعَتَيْنِ
Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine for him between this Friday and the next.
